Look, nobody enjoys reading privacy policies. They're usually written by lawyers, for lawyers, in a language that makes tax forms seem chatty. So here's the deal: I'm going to tell you exactly what I do with your information, in plain English, without the legal waffle.
If you've got questions, just email me: [email protected]
THE SHORT VERSION (TL;DR)
I collect your name and email when you sign up for my newsletter or buy something. I use this to send you helpful business content and occasionally tell you about my services. I don't sell your data to random companies, I don't spam you, and you can leave anytime. That's it.

WHO AM I?
I'm Amy Humphries, and I run Aligned and Unlimited Consulting through my website CEO Mode (ceomode.co). I help consultants, coaches, and digital experts scale their businesses without losing their sanity.
My details:
Email: [email protected]
Address: 10 Hunters Chase, South Godstone, Surrey, RH9 8HR, UK
WHAT INFORMATION DO I COLLECT?
Information You Give Me 😏
When you sign up for my newsletter: Your first name, last name, and email address. That's it. I'm not asking for your life story.
When you buy something: Same as above, plus whatever payment info Stripe needs to process your purchase (they handle all the scary payment stuff, not me).
When you book a call: Your contact details and whatever you tell me about your business challenges.
When you join my customer community: Access details for my Circle group (customers only).
INFORMATION MY WEBSITE COLLECTS AUTOMATICALLY
Like every website since 1995, mine collects some technical stuff:
- Your IP address (basically where you're connecting from)
- What device and browser you're using
- Which pages you visit and how long you stay
- Where you came from (Google, social media, etc.)
This helps me understand what content people actually find useful (spoiler: it's rarely what I think it'll be).
HOW DO I USE YOUR INFORMATION?
The main stuff:
Send you my newsletter with business tips, case studies, and the occasional rant about industry nonsense
Let you know when I have new courses, services, or events
Process your purchases and deliver what you bought
Answer your questions and provide support
Improve my website and content based on what people actually engage with
The boring but necessary stuff:
Keep your account secure
Comply with legal requirements (yes, even rebel businesses have rules)
Prevent fraud and abuse
DO I SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?
The short answer: Not really.
The longer answer:
Stripe handles payments, so they see your payment info (but they're extremely good at security)
GoHighLevel is my CRM/email platform where I store your contact details
Circle hosts my customer community
Google Analytics (when I eventually set it up) will see anonymized website usage data
Cross-promotions: If I ever do a joint venture with another business coach and you specifically sign up for that collaboration, I might share your email with them. But I'll tell you upfront if that's happening - no sneaky stuff.
Legal situations: If someone with a warrant shows up at my door, I'll have to comply with UK law. But given that I help people build businesses, not overthrow governments, this seems unlikely.
🍪 COOKIES AND TRACKING (THE TECHNICAL BIT)
My website uses cookies. Not the chocolate chip kind (sadly).
Essential cookies: These keep the website working. You can't really turn these off without breaking things.
Analytics cookies: These help me understand how people use my site. Currently none, but I plan to add Google Analytics eventually.
Marketing cookies: These help me show you relevant content and ads. I might use these in future.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the site might not work properly if you block everything.
HOW LONG DO I KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
Newsletter subscribers: Until you unsubscribe or become completely inactive. If you haven't opened an email in 6-12 months, I'll probably clean house and remove you (it's better for both of us).
Customers: I keep your purchase records for 7 years for tax purposes (UK law), but your contact details only as long as you want to stay in touch.
Website data: Technical stuff gets cleared out after a year unless there's a specific reason to keep it longer.
YOUR RIGHTS (THE IMPORTANT BIT)
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
See what data I have about you (spoiler: it's probably just your name and email)
Correct anything that's wrong
Delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
Stop me processing your data for marketing purposes
Take your data elsewhere (data portability)
Object to how I'm using your data
To exercise any of these rights, just email me. I'll sort it out within 30 days, probably much faster.
Unsubscribing: There's an unsubscribe link in every email. One click and you're out. No guilt trips, no "are you sure?" pages, no making you jump through hoops.
SECURITY
I take reasonable steps to protect your information, but let's be honest - nothing online is 100% secure. I use reputable services (Stripe, GoHighLevel, etc.) that are much better at security than I could ever be.
If there's ever a data breach that affects you, I'll let you know promptly and tell you exactly what happened. No corporate spin.
CHILDREN
This website is for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. If you're under 18, you probably have better things to do than read about business strategy. Come back when you're older.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
I might update this policy occasionally (new tools, changed processes, new legal requirements). If I make significant changes, I'll email you about it rather than hoping you'll check back here.
The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
QUESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS?
Got questions? Email me: [email protected]
Not happy with how I've handled your data? You can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). But honestly, try talking to me first - I'm pretty reasonable and I'd rather sort things out directly.
ICO contact: ico.org.uk
🍑 THE BOTTOM LINE
I collect the minimum information needed to run my business and serve my community. I don't sell it, I don't spam you, and I don't do anything sketchy with it. If you ever want out, just say so.
Most privacy policies are written to cover the company's backside. This one is written to actually inform you about what happens to your data. Novel concept, I know.
By using this website, you're agreeing to this privacy policy. If you don't agree, that's fine - the internet is a big place with plenty of other business coaches who write more boring privacy policies.
